  36. You could slice that hot April humid stuff Houston calls air at the huge OTC BBQ with a knife.. I pulled up a rickety folding chair alongside an alone Danny as he pulled a deep breath off a fine Cuban cigar he somehow obtained .. he looked at me with that satisfied look I have grown to know over the 25 odd years we have known each other, you know that look where his clear eyes say it all .. “Phil”, he said, “ this is the time I enjoy best, when the BBQ smoke and craziness has cleared, when it all winds down and I can enjoy the peace , when I can just sit here, reflect and just enjoy the peace of it all” Today as I viewed your life played on a video screen as you lay in state, I felt that peace you talked about .. you lived a full life Danny and now it is time to enjoy your peace .. thank you for taking care of my wife Marcia as you 2 ventured thru oilfield life, making her Texas Oilfield Trash proud .. and I am proud in your last moments, she never left your side trying to care for you ..
