Jerry Arteak Jones

November 16, 1959 — December 6, 2021

It is with great sadness the family of Jerry Arteak “Teak” Jones announces his passing December 6, 2021 in Arlington Texas after a valiant battle with cancer.

Teak was born November 16, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jerry L. Jones and Mary Stuart. As a lifelong learner, he completed his Bachelors of Respiratory Care at Midwestern State University and his Masters of Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. Teak took great pride helping others. He was employed as Director of Respiratory Care at Lifercare Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Teak also took great pride in being able to support the military in both the Army and Navy Reserves.

Teak was always looking for ways to help others and served as a great mentor to others. He understood the value that knowledge and hard work brought, and inspired it in those around him. He was steadfast in his Christian faith, always seeking to further his walk with God and striving to bring others to know Him.

Always the family man he put those relationships with the ones he loved at the forefront. His interests included fishing, boating, and music. In recent years Teak and his wife opened their hearts and home as foster parents. He cherished all the love those children brought into his life and made sure they knew that they were loved, wanted, and had the ability to be successful in their lives. Teak served as a great father, loving husband, and a great friend.

Teak was preceded in death by his father, Jerry L Jones, and sister, Laurie Wilson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheri Jones; children Daniel Jones, Andrea, Gustavo, Hayden, Renata, and Kole; mother Mary Stuart; brother Layne Greer; sister Leah Roberts and her husband Billy Roberts; step-daughters Brandy Prince and Casey Borah; 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and dear friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10 am and are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at https://wadefamilyfuneralhome.com/
