Zachery Howard Perkins

July 16, 1987 — October 11, 2016

ARLINGTON -- Zachery Howard "Zach" Perkins, 29, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016. Zach was born in Arlington on a beautiful bright day, July 16, 1987. He had a large extended family and was loved and cherished. However, he could not fight off the hold that drugs had on him and our prayer now is that he is at peace - singing a song with his grandmother, Barbara Howard, and helping his grandfather, Bill Howard, tear down and repair anything mechanical. He had a beautiful smile, a kind and giving heart and a sharp mind that helped him build, network and trouble shoot computers at an early age. He taught himself to play the violin and sang in the Arlington Boys' Choir for several years. As he grew older, he loved to get on his motorcycle and spend time just riding around. He loved animals (all kinds of animals), planting and watching flowers and vegetables grow and the joy that young children share with us. These are the things that we hope everyone will remember when they think of Zach. Our hearts are broken, with a pain that seems unbearable, but we know that we will see Zach again and when we do, he will be free of the drug addictions that brought him so much pain. Please love and cherish every day that you have with loved ones. A private memorial service will be held in the near future. Survivors: Zach is survived by parents, Bruce and Sara Perkins; older brother, Todd Hulin (Nina Ong-Hulin); younger brother, William "Billy" Perkins (Dorian); nephew, Gabriel Ong-Hulin; niece, Zoe Ong-Hulin; aunts and uncles who loved him as their own, John Howard (Linda), Susie Hope (Eddie), Debbie Anderson (Robert), James Howard (Mhel), and Joel Howard (Tracy Tucker); and cousins, Stacy Alexander (Thomas and their boys, Hayden and Wyatt), Lindsey Hope and Victoria Howard. He is also survived by several great aunts and uncles and his "adopted aunts," Pam Bass and her son, Christopher Neil, and Sharon Adams. Wade Family Funeral Home Arlington, 817-274-9233
