William Sidney "Sid" Sprouse

ARLINGTON -- William Sidney “Sid” Sprouse, 60 of Arlington, TX passed away on December 9th, 2016. He was at home, surrounded by family when the Lord called him home. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington. Interment: 2:00 p.m. Jamestown Cemetery, Smith County. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Sid was born December 15th, 1955 in Houston TX, the youngest of Maxine Arnold Johns and Richard Sprouse, Sr.'s four children. He grew up in Pasadena and Deer Park, TX where he attended Pasadena High school. After high school, Sid moved to Arlington, TX to attend Arlington Baptist College where he met the love of his life. On October 14th, 1978, Sid married Brenda Lee and spent the next 38 years aggravating and loving her like only he could. Sid was a truck driver for most of his life and enjoyed seeing various parts of the country. He loved to fish, camp, travel and spend time with his family. Those left to treasure his memory are his wife, Brenda Sprouse; daughter, Rebecca Deyo and husband Jeff; son, James Sprouse; “adopted daughter”, Barbara Austin; “adopted sons”, Mike Lane and his wife Hannah, Seth Walker and Dustin Walker and his wife Amanda; grandsons, Donovan, Elijah and Isaiah; brother, Richard Sprouse and wife Betty; sister, Mary Smith and husband Norman; numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
