Benbrook -- William Stanley “Stan” Moore, 65, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend went to join our Savior after worshipping the Lord on the morning of December 17, 2017. FUNERAL: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 21st, Christ Chapel Bible Church, 3701 Birchman Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76107. BURIAL: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21st, Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012. VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20th, Wade Funeral Home, 4140 Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, TX 76013. Stan was born January 11, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to Dr. L.G. Moore and Lois Virginia Tatum Moore. He committed his life to Jesus at the age of 12 and conformed his life to Christ each day after that. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1970 and attended Tarrant County College. He married Karen Mikus Moore on August 21, 1970. They have two children, Cynthia born on February 1, 1974, and William born on January 4, 1988. He was a member of Turnpike Church of Christ in Grand Prairie for over 30 years, and after moving to Fort Worth, he was a member of Christ Chapel Bible Church. Throughout his time serving in the church, Stan found many lifelong friends who gathered around him in the days prior to his passing. Stan began work in the construction industry for his father-in-law, E.J. Mikus Jr., in 1970. Stan established his own construction management corporation in 1985. He was known for his tremendous work ethic and honesty in all aspects of his business. If something wasn't right on a job, he would always do whatever was necessary to make it right. If you knew Stan, you knew his witty sense of humor and strong love and compassion for serving those around him. He was passionate about his children and grandchildren, spending as much time as he could with them and displaying for them the love of Christ. His love of cars, specifically his 1956 Lincoln Continental, took him all over Texas with the Lincoln Owners Club for many years. He was involved in many organizations, including: LifeLine Shelter for Families, Grand Prairie Rotary Club, Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club, Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce, and Benbrook Chamber of Commerce. As a member of the Grand Prairie Rotary Club, Stan was named a Paul Harris Fellow. He was also honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the Grand Bank of Texas for many years. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, L.G. and Lois Moore; brother, Robert; and niece, Hannah. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; daughter, Cynthia and her husband David; son, William and his wife Cori; grandchildren, Micah and his wife Tiffany, Joseph, Daniel, Anna, Mary, Chloe, Andrew, Levi, and Asher; sisters, Virginia and Mary Kathryn; brother, Paul; and many nieces and nephews.
