William Odell Clark Sr.

William Odell Clark Sr. passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024 in New Braunfels, Texas. He was 89 years old.

Bill was born on July 8, 1934 in Elkhorn Wisconsin to Delmar and Lorraine Malsch Clark. He was married to his beloved Barbara Schenk Clark for 56 years and raised five children.

Bill was a simple man and he had his ways about him. Being a Marine, he learned to be organized. His clothing needed to be ironed a certain way and his lawn could have no lines in the grass…it had to be perfect! He had a place for everything in his garage and you needed to put things back in the same place. The garage floor had to be perfect…completely spotless! Although cooking was not his thing, he was a great potato peeler…a skill he learned because he was always getting in trouble! 

Bill never judged his family and he was there for us whenever we fell. He loved all of his family fiercely and worked very hard so they would have nice things. 

The best memory I have is pranking my dad. Whenever my parents went on vacation, I would change the house around. It started with rearranging pictures and then dresser drawers, clothes and the kitchen. I even moved furniture out into the famous garage. Oh what fun that was! So much for him being organized!

Bill said he was prepared and ready to go to heaven where he would be reunited with his mom and other family and loved ones.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Delmar & Lorraine Malsch Clark; his beloved wife Barbara Schenk Clark; brother James Clark; sister Barbara; daughter Laurie L Calvert and granddaughter Christen James.

He is survived by his wife Lora Clark; son Billy Clark and his wife Anita; daughters Debbie, Kathy James and Vicki Harris; grandchildren Clarissa, Cherie, Steven, Jerimy, Heather, Sabrina, Payson, Priya and great grandchildren Natalie, Ashley, Kayla, Mackenzie, Hunter, Lucy, Sami and Kinize.

Bill was an amazing son, husband, dad, grandfather and great grandfather and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
