William Earl (Bill) Curlett II, 78 passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Hospital.
A Graveside Service for William Earl (Bill) Curlett II will be on Thursday June 17 2021 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas TX 75211
Bill was born January 30,1943 to William E. Curlett Sr. and Edith L. Curlett in Baltimore, Maryland.
Bill spent is formable years in Kentmore Park in Chestertown, MD. He graduated from Galena High school, in Galena, MD. He was a SSgt Weapons Specialist in the USAF. He enjoyed working real estate, though Bills real passion was guns and politics. He helped campaign for several presidents, Texas governors, and attorney generals throughout his life, and he ran for the 31st District house of delegates in Anna Arundel County, MD. Bill was also the McLennan County Chairman for the Veterans Party of America and The Club Pass President for the Loan Star Shooting Sports Club. Bill enjoyed his volunteer work with Waco PD's “Citizens on Patrol” program.
Bill served in the U.S, Air Force from 1963-1971 during this time he served in the Vietnam War. When he returned state side, Bill was stationed in Minot, N.D. While in Minot N.D he met and married the love of his life Carrol Mae Fish on April 14, 1967 and together raised their 3 children Michael Todd, Cindy Lynnett, William Earl III.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Carrol Mae Curlett, his parents William E. and Edith L. Curlett Sr., and parent-in-laws Barton L. and Margret Fish.
Bill was survived by his 3 children: Michael Todd Curlett and wife, Amy Curlett, Cindy Lynnett Miller and husband, David Casey Miller, and William Earl Curlett III and wife, Susan Curlett; his 8 grandchildren, Chad Daniel Curlett, Katherine Mae Merrow, Elizabeth April Miller, Christian Ashley Curlett, David Casey Miller Jr, William Earl Curlett IV, Makayla Renee Curlett, and Logan Mitchell Curlett; his 4 great-grandchildren, Caiden James Merrow, Collin Eli Merrow, Madison Carrol Chavez, and Annabelle Grace Merrow. Bill's sister, Barbara L. Klingman and husband, Elliot Klingman survive him, as well as his niece and nephew and their families.
