William David Travis

William David Travis went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2019. William was born December 19, 1921, to John William and Annie Denbow Travis in Corsicana, TX, where he grew up. He married the love of his life, Billie Doris Green, in 1943 and they were married for 61 years. They had two children, Serena Ann Holdridge and John David Travis. William served in the Army Air Corp in India and Burma in WWII. After discharge, he worked at the Dallas Morning News as a typesetter until retirement. He was also a Mason for over 50 years. William is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Billie, his daughter, Serena, and his son, John David. William is survived by granddaughter Holli Baker and her husband Rob Baker, and Great-Grandchildren Zachary McNeill and Allison McNeill. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana, TX, in the Travis family plot. Wade Family Funeral Home 817-274-9233
