William "Buddy" Frank Strawn

William Frank “Buddy” Strawn, 82, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Arlington. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Pastor Marc Lowrance officiating. Interment: 1:30 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 22, at the funeral home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church, 5450 Mansfield Road, Arlington, Texas 76017. Buddy was born on September 7, 1934 in Caddo Mills, Texas to J. Frank Strawn and Alice Koger Strawn. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. An Arlington resident since 1967, he was a member of St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church. He retired after 37 years from L.T.V. Buddy loved bass fishing and sports. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cyndi L. Lowe in 2014. Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Judy Strawn; sons, Gary L. Strawn and wife, Terri, Chuck Farmer, and Hobey M. Strawn and wife, Robin; grandchildren, Jerrod, Josh, Jenni, Kyle, Kristin, Jake, Haley, Ally, Adam, Landon and Jackson; and 9 great-grandchildren.
