William Bradford Poulos

William Bradford Poulos (Brad), beloved husband, father, grandfather, and pillar of the community, passed away on April 15, 2024, in Mansfield, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. He was 64 years old.

Brad was born to W. Toney Poulos and Bettye Gustafson in West Texas, where he spent his formative years before embarking on a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

A graduate of Sam Houston High School, Brad married his beloved wife, Vicki Poulos, in 1982 at Fielder Road Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around their family.

Brad was a man of many talents and passions. He was known for his quick wit, infectious humor, and the ability to forge connections with anyone he met. As the Booster Club President at Arlington High School, he demonstrated his commitment to supporting his community and its youth.

In addition to his community involvement, Brad was a devoted father who cherished every moment with his three sons, Chris, Brett, and Derrick. He instilled in them the values of hard work, compassion, and loyalty, traits that defined his own character.

Brad’s love extended to his grandchildren, Harper, Casey, and Decker, who brought immeasurable joy into his life. He took great pride in watching them grow and thrive.

As the owner of his own residential and commercial painting business, Brad was a dedicated and diligent worker. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

One of Brad’s greatest passions was coaching, particularly as a volunteer Optimist football coach for over 12 years. He poured his heart and soul into mentoring young players, including his own sons and their friends. Through his coaching, he not only taught the fundamentals of the game but also imparted invaluable life lessons and fostered a sense of camaraderie among his players.

Brad’s legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those whose lives he touched.

Brad is survived by his loving wife, Vicki; his sons, Chris (Christina), Brett (Courtney), and Derrick (Brittni); his grandchildren, Harper, Casey, and Decker; as well as numerous other family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

He is preceded in death by his father, W. Toney Poulos; mother, Bettye Gustafson; mother-in-law, Gere Wingard; sister, Jane Poulos; and brother, Scott Poulos.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Optimist Football Program in Brad’s honor.

A celebration of Brad’s life will be held at a later date to honor his memory and legacy. Details will be announced at a later time.
