William "Bill" Hays White

August 24, 1946 — May 26, 2014

Cedar Hill -- William "Bill" Hays White of Cedar Hill, 67 passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 surrounded by family and close friends. Celebration of Life: Never wanting a fuss or sadness, Bill requested a celebration of fun and laughter at his barn. It will be held on Saturday May 31, at 4:00 pm at his place in Cedar Hill. BYOB and plenty of scratch-offs. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Texas DPS Troopers Foundation, 5821 Airport Blvd., Austin, TX 78752 or www.dpstf.org. Bill was born August 24, 1946 in Bryan/College Station Texas. Bill, also known as "Bull" to his 6 doting granddaughters, graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1964, and from Texas A&M University in 1968. Larger than life, Bill lived more in his 67 years than most people could in three lifetimes. He always said he had done the three things all little boys dreamed of doing someday; he was a policeman, rodeo cowboy and rodeo clown, and "ran away with the circus" (worked for theme parks). "Wild Willie" as he was affectionately called in his rodeo days, was an undercover narcotics agent for the Texas Highway Patrol for many years and then worked for Silver Dollar City - Branson, MO and retired from Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor in Arlington in 2007. Bill is preceded in death by his son, John Wesley White and parents, Spike and Darnell White (Kanakuk Kamps) of Branson, MO. Survivors: Bill is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Linda. He always said she was the first girl he ever kissed (8th grade) and she would be the last. He left this world hand in hand with his sweet "Jingles". Bill is also survived by his sons, Cody White and wife, Lori of Brentwood, TN, Scooter Stone and wife, Terri of Pearland, TX; daughter, Lisa Stone of Wichita Falls, TX; granddaughters, Ashlynn, Kate, Lauren, Megan, Amber, and Morgan; brothers, Bob White and wife Mev of Bryan, TX, Joe White and wife, Debbie Jo of Branson, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
