PANTEGO -- William E. "Bill" Semler, 81, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, after a short illness.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with Rev. Gordon Johnson officiating. Bill was a member of New World United Methodist Church.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Bill was born May 25, 1935, in Odessa, Mo. He met and married his high school sweetheart, Jane Dickerson, 60 years ago. He attended Texas Christian University and the University of Texas at Arlington. He was in the transportation business working for Montgomery Ward, Xerox, and various trucking companies. Bill started a brokerage business, J&B Freight Co., until his retirement in 2003.
He enjoyed traveling, fishing and was a great friend to all, including Gladys, the cat, and Miss Peggy, the dog. Everyone loved "Uncle" Bill.
Survivors: Spouse, Jane; daughter, Sally (Tim); grandsons, Kyle (Renee) and Caysen, Toby (Morgan); aunt and uncle, Dr. Don and Tam Dickerson of California; and sisters, Gwen Waterworth and Joyce Kite of Missouri.
