William Arthur Zacharias

ARLINGTON -- William Arthur Zacharias Sr., 72, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in Arlington. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Barnabas United Methodist Church, 5011 W. Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington. Memorials: Open Arms Clinic or St. Barnabas United Methodist Church, in lieu of flowers. Bill was born May 17, 1941, in Muskegon, Mich., to Ralph and Marvel Coles Zacharias. He retired as a master sergeant after serving 24 years in the Marine Corps followed by a second career at Bell Helicopter. Bill was a longtime member of St. Barnabas United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Betty Tisron. Survivors: Wife of 49 years, Judy Zacharias; son, Bill Zacharias Jr. and wife, Sharon; daughters, Cheryl Moody and husband, Artie, Michelle Zacharias and Robin Vance and husband, Greg; sister, Shirley Burk-DeWitt; grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Melanie, Adam, Robert and Brandon; and numerous other family members and friends.
