Wayne Glen Harvey

Wayne Glen Harvey, 74, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, in Arlington. Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorial: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or SE Arlington Little League. Wayne was born June 11, 1943 to Edward Harvey and Mary Cornwell, in Omaha, TX. He is a graduate of AHS, class of 1962, and 1974 alum of UTA. He married his one true love, Charlotte Ann Walker, on June 21, 1965. He worked for Western Electric, then Southwestern Bell until his retirement in 1999. He was passionate about working with community youth serving as a little league coach and a stint as president of the SE Arlington Little League. As a devoted husband and loving father, he lived to do the “harder right” over the “easier wrong”. Both his smile and wisdom will be greatly missed. Wife of 52 years, Charlotte Harvey; children, Brad, Jeff and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Vanessa and Matthew; sister, Sylvia Shoemaker; brothers, Joe Harvey and Jerry Don Harvey.
