ARLINGTON -- Warren Gustave Neuber passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, in Arlington.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Grace Lutheran Church, 210 W. Park Row Drive, Arlington. Interment: 1:30 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Lane C. Visitation: The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Warren was born Dec. 15, 1922, in Chicago, Ill., to Gustave and Helen Wilkening Neuber. He married Janice Mae Olds on June 22, 1945. Warren was a World War II veteran who served both in the Army and the Army Air Corps. He worked for the Illinois Central Railroad, various trucking companies, and managed parts distribution centers for both Volkswagen of America and BMW of North America. Warren and Janice moved to Arlington in 1980. They were members of Grace Lutheran Church and worked with Arlington Charities. Warren was an active member of a local model railroad club and the 12th Armored Division Association. Warren enjoyed model railroading, playing golf, traveling, and participating in family activities, especially those involving his grandchildren.
Survivors: Son, Jeff Neuber and wife, Chris, of Deatsville, Ala.; daughter, Ellen Nielsen and husband, Severt, of Arlington; and grandsons, Joel Neuber and wife, Lindsay, Jonathan Neuber and wife, Courtney, Ryan Nielsen and Regan Nielsen.
