Wanda Lee Hass

Wanda Lee Bell Hass, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 17, 2022. While her passing was unexpected, Wanda’s resurrection on Easter Sunday was not.

Wanda was born August 27, 1939, in Leon, Iowa, to Everett and Louise Bell. She came to Irving, Texas in 1967, by way of Illinois, Arizona, California, Colorado, and New Mexico along with her husband Don McDaniel and her two beloved daughters: Lori-Lea and Theresa.

After marrying the love of her life, Don Hass, in 1975, they moved to Arlington in the summer of 1976, where they forever called it home. While her first focus was being a mom to Lori-Lea and Theresa, Wanda also worked as a clerk for Docutel Olivetti.

Wanda enjoyed playing Yahtzee, attending country music concerts, reading, watching movies, spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was thrilled when she got to shake Randy Travis’ hand at the Arlington Music Hall no more than two weeks ago.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Don F. Hass; sisters Audrey Burgett, Rachel Lewis, Joyce Mitchell, Penny Bell Underwood; and brother’s Doug Bell, and Everett Allen Bell.
Survivors: Daughters, Lori-Lea Davis, and husband, Linton, of Arlington, Theresa Ross, and husband, Will, of Arlington; grandchildren, George Cobb, of San Francisco, CA., and Russell Cobb, Grayson, and Carli Ross, of Arlington; sisters Bea Dawson, of Decatur, IL.; and Zonda Bodiford and husband, Jim, of McKinney, TX; and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30 in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Arlington, 313 N. Center St. Memorials may be contributed in Wanda’s name to Arlington Charities or the Levitt Pavilion.
