Wanda Jean Hall

Wanda Jean Hall, of Irving, TX, was born on May 6, 1934, in Dallas, TX to Herbert Lynn Shetter and Nina Ora Shetter.  Wanda went to be with our Lord and her Heavenly family on Friday, January 13, 2023.

Wanda wore many hats; she wore each one with pride. She was the owner of Faith Temple Baptist School in Grand Prairie, TX, House of Tots in Arlington, TX and Shady Grove School in Irving, TX. Her daycare/schools were very well known throughout their communities.

Wanda was a member of and past presiding officer of the Order of The Eastern Star, the Order of The White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Order of the Amaranth, and the Social Order of the Beauceant. Wanda was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile.  Wanda served as a volunteer for years at both the Scottish Rite Hospital and the Texas Masonic Retirement Center of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas.

Wanda enjoyed traveling with Floyd on many unforgettable adventures, visiting all fifty states in the United States and many foreign countries.  Colorado was their second home.  She enjoyed looking for treasures such as arrowheads and rocks or any artifact she could find.  She enjoyed entertaining and loved her many organizations.  Wanda was a true visionary.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Herb & Nina Shetter two sisters, Iva Lackey & Fay Scheppler, two brothers, Herbert Lynn (HL) Shetter & Don Shetter.

Wanda is survived by the love of her life of 44 wonderful years, Floyd Hall, Irving, TX. Son William (Billy) Yeager of Grand Prairie, TX. Granddaughter Bella Leanne Yeager and her husband Kevin Vance of Dallas, TX. William (Trey) Yeager and wife Alisha. Aaron Yeager and Dustin Collins. Three great granddaughters, Samantha, Lillie & Alyssa. One great grandson, Cameron.

Wanda is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, February 11 at Texas Masonic Retirement Center, 1501 W Division St, Arlington with Rev. Lin Roy Kilgore officiating. Graveside Service: Godley Cemetery, Godley.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Texas Masonic Retirement Center in Arlington.
