Vincent “Vince” Charles Formagus, 70, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Arlington.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, at St. John the Apostle United Methodist Church, 5450 Mansfield Rd., Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Playing for Change, Kids Against Hunger or the SJA Endowment Fund.
Vince was born on September 16, 1946 in Dallas to Frank Formagus and Mary Lena Barrick Formagus. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School and East Texas State University. Vince served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in the Army Security Agency. He married Linda Kay Webster on October 29, 1966 in Perkins Chapel at Southern Methodist University. He was a 25-year employee of Southwestern Bell and was a former President of the local chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Vince enjoyed music and camping. He was an active member of his church and formerly served in many leadership roles.
Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Linda Webster Formagus; daughters, Kathy Sigrist and husband, Shane, Jennifer Honsaker and husband, George, and Kerri McNabb and husband, Brandon; sister, Frances Ann Schmidt and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Allison Sigrist, Emily Sigrist, Noah Jones, Hannah Honsaker and Max Honsaker; and beloved dog, Layla.
