Victor Amato Scavino, 70, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Arlington, Texas.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Victor was born on May 1, 1952 in Vallejo, California to Pasquale Victor Scavino and Rose Mary Nanetti Scavino. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly University. Victor married the love of his life, Teresa Fernandez, on October 1, 1988. He retired from Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant after a 30 year career.
Victor had many great friends and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Victor and his wife, Charo especially loved hosting parties at their home. He enjoyed classical rock music, playing guitar and all the “live” music at their parties. Victor loved outdoor sports including hiking, long distance bicycle riding and motorcycling and had a lifelong passion of working on collector and vintage cars. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Rose Scavino; and brother, Raymond Scavino.
Survivors: Wife of 34 years, Teresa “Charo” Fernandez Scavino; brother, Albert Scavino; sister, Carmella Scavino Engberg; sister-in-law, Mari Fernandez; nephews, Dave Engberg, Paco Estevez (Andreina) and their children, and Esteban Estevez; and nieces, Anne Marie Engberg, Vanessa Ya (Matias) and their child, and Alejandra Estevez and her children.
