Vernon Glenn Crossett, 82, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many, happily went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 22nd, 2020.
Visitation will be at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas on Monday, June 29th, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be at Wade Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 30th, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. noon, followed by burial at Parkdale Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Gifts of love and sympathy may be sent to Mission Arlington in Glenn Crossett's name.
Glenn was born April 24th, 1938 in Providence, Arkansas to Lester and Opal Crossett. Glenn and his six siblings grew up in a home full of love for family and Jesus. In 1960, he married Charlotte South and they moved to Texas and made Arlington their home.
Glenn graduated from Southern Methodist University Banking School and had a long and successful career in Banking. He was also an entrepreneur, a red belt in Karate (the belt just prior to a black belt) and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.
Glenn married Gloria Elgan in 2010. They enjoyed playing dominoes, bowling, dancing and traveling. He also enjoyed singing, strumming his guitar, playing the piano and creating memories with family.
Glenn leaves a legacy of love and will be remembered for many things including his smile and being a consummate encourager, a comforter and a trusted advisor.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Charlotte and his sisters Naomi McCann and Betty Green.
Glenn is survived by his wife Gloria; daughters, Lori Reeves and husband, John Paul, Sheri Untrecht and husband, Ian; step son, Sean Elgan; step daughters, Brandi Daniel and husband, Greg, Ashley Studinski and husband, Ian; grandchildren, Nicholas and Danielle Untrecht, Julian Elgan and wife, Addie, Victoria and Zach Elgan, Lane and Bella Daniel, Brooklynn and Jadynn Studinski; great-grandchild, Isaac Elgan.
