Tyrone David Reed

Tyrone David Reed passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Tyrone David Reed was born in Great Bend, Kansas at St. Rose Hospital to Betty J. Reed and the late Herbert Johnson. He graduated from Great Bend High School in 1989. After graduation, Tyrone enlisted into the United States Navy. He rose to the rank of Petty Officer First Class while serving as a Naval Police Officer with the United States Naval Police Force for more than twenty years. After retiring from the Navy with full military honors and as a decorated sailor he began a new career in January of 2011 with the United States Department of Agriculture where he was employed for more than 9 years. Tyrone attended First Baptist Church in Great Bend, Kansas under Pastor Leroy Keith. While attending First Baptist Church, he professed his hope in Christ and was baptized. He and his family attend the Gathering Church Viridian in Arlington, Texas under the leadership of Pastor David Butler. Tyrone met and married Snezhana Markovna Popova while stationed in Tokyo, Japan. They married on September 9th, 2005 in Great Bend. Tyrone departed his life in the comfort and care of his loving wife Snezhana Reed, his daughter Maya Mariah Reed and his son Mark Devon Reed. Tryone was proceeded in death by his father Herbert Johnson and paternal grandparents Elmer and Marie Johnson of Great Bend, Kansas. He is also proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Abe Reed Sr. and Mary Lee Reed of Great Bend, Kansas. Tyrone's memory is loved and cherished by his wife Snezhana, his daughter Maya and his son Mark of Arlington, Texas. His mother Betty J. Underwood, his sisters Nicole Lynn Nessersmith (Jody), and Tacoa Underwood of Great Bend, Kansas. Tyrone leaves cherished memories with his wife's parents Mark and Galina Popova of Tyumen, Siberia Russia. A sister-in-law Larisa (Taka) Minami of Tokyo, Japan and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends. Wade Family Funeral Home 817-274-9233
