Troy Dean Lindblad, 54, of Burleson, Texas passed away on February 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born in Missouri, Troy spent most of his life growing up in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Martin High School in 1988 and was part of the Class of 1992 at Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He spent most of his career working as a senior product engineer at Corning Optical Communications, in Keller, Texas.
Troy was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he had an enormous heart and fun sense of humor. He was forever the smartest person in the room but hid it well with his extraordinary personality. His laugh could light up the room. He was the first to step up if someone needed anything. He loved playing and watching sports and could be very competitive. In his downtime he enjoyed watching movies, running, and listening to all genres of music, his favorite being rock.
He loved his dog, Rocky. Up until the time of his death, when he couldn’t remember many things, he never forgot “Ruru” and would always ask about him.
It is not the dates that life began and ended, what matters most is what fills the dash in between. Troy will always be remembered for all the love and fun he shared with family and friends. To a life well lived, we will always raise our glass to honor him.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lindblad, his sisters Cindy Lindblad Moore and Paula Lindblad Fanning.
Troy is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Missy (Johnson) Lindblad, his sons, Paul Lindblad, Trent Lindblad, Dyllon St. Romain and wife Carly, his daughter Danielle St. Romain, his granddaughter Daphne, his mother Kathy Lindblad, as well as several nieces and nephews and a wide group of loving friends.
A Celebration of his Life is scheduled for Saturday, February 10 at 1pm at the St. John Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6007 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd., Arlington, TX 76016. The Celebration will be livestreamed and you can click here to watch.
