Tinnette Lanae Matthews

Tinnette “BayBay” Matthews, 49, of Arlington, TX, passed away on October 25, 2022.

Tinnette was born on May 6,1973 to the parents of Beverly Matthews and Jesse Caldwell in the city of Lake Providence, Louisiana. Later in life, she gave birth to two beautiful twin baby girls named Roshica and Tyronica Matthews. Tinnette gained two handsome grandchildren by the names of Johntavious Tobias, Jr. and Bobby Jeremiah Jackson, Jr.

When Tinnette gave birth to her beautiful twin daughters, she decided to dedicate her life to being a full time, fantastic and wonderful mother. Tinnette excelled at always encouraging her entire family, the Matthews-Willams legacy, and supporting them throughout all of their passions and difficulties. Whether that was supporting her mother’s brothers and sisters, her aunts, her cousins, her nieces, her nephews, and of course, her daughters with her passion and care, as she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Tinnette was a passionate pecan picker . Not only that, she loved herself a great hamburger casserole and Rotel dip. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she found time to do one of her favorite activities, Lottery Scratch Offs, in her living room while watching The Little House on the Prairie. We will miss her greatly.

Tinnette was predeceased by her grandson, Johntavious Tobias, Jr., her eldest brother, Reginald Matthews, her second oldest uncle, Charles Matthews, her maternal grandmother, Versie Matthews-Williams, her paternal grandfather, Layguster Williams, and finally, her aunt, Debra Gail Harris.

She is survived by her mother Beverly Brenda Matthews, her father, Jessie Caldwell, her twin daughters, Roshica Matthews and Tyronica Matthews, and a host of other family members, friends, and neighbors.

The family requests that all flowers be sent to the Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, LA. There will be a funeral service/memorial/celebration of life on November 5,2022 at the Richwood Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
