Timothy Thurston Barge

August 5, 1952 — September 3, 2023

Timothy Thurston Barge, passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 71. Born on August 5, 1952, in Capin Washington, DC, Timothy brought joy and kindness to all those he encountered throughout his life. His gentle demeanor and light-hearted robust view of life captured the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impact on the family, friends and community he cherished. A few years prior to being baptized in 2019, Tim had committed his life to the Lord and was open to learning more about the Lord and the Word.

Timothy’s journey began at the University of Maryland, where he excelled both on the football field and in his studies. After proudly serving his country in the US Army, he pursued a career as a fire protection engineer and he retired in 2014. Tim had recently returned to work at DFW International Airport as an engineer in the Energy Transportation and Asset Management Department where he was known for his kindness and expertise in his field.

While Timothy was an accomplished professional, his true passion lay in his unwavering devotion to his faith, loved ones and close friends. He loved to attend church at Faith Christian Center, where he found solace, purpose, and a sense of belonging. Timothy’s love for his church family was evident in the genuine relationships he formed along the way.

In his leisure time, Timothy found joy in staying active and taking care of his well-being. He enjoyed spending time in the country, upkeeping his property, working with his hands, tools, farm equipment, and rehabilitating what others would deem irreparable.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory Barge and Vittoria Maria Masano Barge.

Survivors: Partner, Abigail Mooradian and her children, Ariana and Christian Mooradian; uncle, Thomas Masano; and cousins, Judy Ryskamp, Nancy Halle and Thomas “Bobby” Masano.

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
