Timothy James Cox, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Tim was born on May 16, 1952 in Waukegan, Illinois to Lieutenant Colonel William Henry Cox, United States Army (Retired) and Marjorie Minnie Sitzmann Cox. A 50 year resident of Fort Worth and Arlington, he graduated from Western Hills High School in 1970 and the University of Texas at Arlington in 1975. On May 26, 1973, he married the love of his life, Barbara Sanders, in Fort Worth. Tim was Vice President of Sales at Royer and Schutts Commercial Interiors in Fort Worth (1978-2017) and was a member of the Cowtown Executives Association. Tim was a long-time member of St. Alban's Anglican Parish, St. Alban's Vestry, and President of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew. He served on the Diocesan Commission on Ministry for 21 years. He also regularly volunteered his time at the Arlington Life Shelter. Tim was an avid Texas Rangers baseball fan and long-time season ticket holder. He enjoyed reading, traveling, hiking, fishing, his model train collection, and above all else spending time with his beautiful wife, 3 children, and 6 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Douglas William Cox, he leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Barbara Sanders Cox; son, Ryan William Cox and wife, Valerie; daughters, Stephanie Renee Battle and husband, Justin, and Lindsey Denise Bosworth and husband, Kyle; sister, Christine Eleanor Cox; grandchildren, Jane Kathryn Battle, Nora Rose Battle, Henry James Battle, Lainey Grace Bosworth, Robert George Bosworth, Dylan McCray Cox, extended family, his St. Alban's church family, the many friends he made during his 40 years at Royer and Schutts, and countless other friends.
