GRAND PRAIRIE -- Thomas Wayne Owens passed peacefully on August 10, 2016. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 17 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington. Known as “Wayne” by family, his preference was that, in lieu of flowers/cards/etc., anyone so inclined please make a contribution to a charitable organization of your choice. Known as “Tom” in his professional life, he retired from Oncor after 38 years and worked security at the Ballpark in Arlington and at the American Airlines Center. Love you baby. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Frances Owens, and by his son, Christopher Owens. Survivors: Wife, June Owens; daughters, Chrystal Owens and Stephanie Hancock; son, Richard Hancock and wife, Dawn; granddaughter, Elizabeth “Beckyroo”; brother, Ron Owens and wife, Patricia; and other extended family.
