Thomas (Tommy) Payne Schumaker departed this earthly life to his heavenly home on April 22,2022, age 77.
He was born on June 26, in Fort Worth, Texas. Parents Joe and Elsie Schumaker. Tommy sold donuts at a very young age. He always had some sort of job. He went to Diamond Hill Jarvis High School. He served in the Army from 1966 till 1968, during the Viet Nam war! He never traveled out of the US. After being discharged (with honors) he went to JCJC and UTA.
After 30 years working for the US Postal Service (1984-2014) he retired October 30, then his wife Betty retired December 31. From that time till last Friday, you would hardly see one without the other. He was the love of her life and she his.
Tommy loved the Lord, his family, Pastor, church, Sunday school class, and church family dearly.
Tommy was a Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers fan (win or lose)! He was also a fan of Baylor, and TCU and enjoyed watching golf on tv. He really enjoyed playing train dominos with his Sunday school class and others.
He thought the day wasn’t over, or time for bed, until he had his Blue Bell ice cream, and usually a piece of chocolate cake.
Survivors: his wife Betty, son Matt, stepdaughter Angel and spouse Steven. Sisters Barbara and spouse Phillip, and Elsie. Brothers Kevin, Joe, David, number of nephews and nieces and numerous family members.
Grandchildren: Whom he Loved to the moon and back, Madison, Jake, and Connor.
