It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Francis King, who left us on September 10, 2024, just ten days shy of his 74th birthday. Thomas passed away peacefully at Arlington Memorial Hospital, the very place where he dedicated much of his career as a hospital pharmacist before retiring in 2022.
Born on September 20, 1950, in Morris Plains, New Jersey, to Robert and Rosemary King, Thomas was a devoted husband, a caring friend, and a respected professional. He graduated in the Class of 1974 from the Southwestern School for Pharmacy in Oklahoma and retired his pharmacist license of 50 years just prior to his death. Thomas retired from Norman Regional Hospital in 2000 and continued his service at Arlington Memorial Hospital.
Thomas was a lover of baseball and enjoyed the fall season. He was diligent in adoring his family, including his beloved wife of 30 years, Gina King (Aiello), his daughters Chrystal King Templin and Vicki King Ricketts, and his cherished grandchildren Joseph Vaughn, Alisha King, Lindsey King Ricketts, and Tori Templin. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert.
After retirement, Thomas spent his time participating in his church men’s group and completed a semester at Kings University in Southlake, growing closer to his Lord and Savior. He was ready to meet his God when he passed from this life to eternity.
Thomas’s legacy is one of love, service, and integrity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including his family, friends, and colleagues. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, October 17th at 2:00 PM at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hurricane Victims or Union Gospel Mission to feed families for Thanksgiving.
