Terry Kevin Twomey

Terry Kevin Twomey, 68, passed from this life into the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, January 31, 2018. There is a new angel in heaven. Service: Friday, February 9th, 2:00 p.m. First United Methodist Church, Mansfield. Terry was born in Cherry Point, NC on June 9, 1949 to Leslie T. and Julia Twomey. Being a military brat, Terry attended many different schools across the US finding his home in Arlington in 1963. After receiving his associate degree at Navarro Jr. College, he continued on to UTA Arlington earning his BBA. He excelled at athletics throughout his life. His passion was a healthy mind and body, working out daily. Terry married the love of his life, Linda, in 1983, and would have celebrated their 35th anniversary on February 12th. Terry had a very successful business as an Independent Manufacturer's Rep. After retirement, he was active in the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, and the Wesley Mission Center, where he was instrumental in getting the new facility underway. Terry enjoyed helping others. He was always willing to take the time to speak with young people trying to make their way in this world. He was happiest spending time with his wife, Linda, and walking their dog, Sam. Terry had countless friends with whom he shared many fond memories, including golf outings, Wednesday men's Bible Study, and gatherings with old classmates and friends. Terry was optimistic and saw the positive in every situation, making others feel like they really mattered, because he truly cared about them. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Terry's memory be made to the Wesley Mission Center, 777 N. Terry was predeceased by his parents. Survivors: wife, Linda; sister, Donna, (Harry) Adams; nephews, Mark Kitts, Todd (Denise) Kitts; three adored great-nieces, Katelyn, Rylee and Samantha; as well as a host of in-laws in upstate, NY, his constant 4-legged companion, Sam, and an abundance of dear friends.
