Teri Dominguez

November 29, 1966 — September 28, 2024

Teresa Lopez Dominguez, 57, of Arlington, Texas, was born November 29, 1966, and passed away September 28, 2024. Teri was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and tremendous friend to many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Teri was born in Monahans, Texas. Teri had fond memories of her childhood in Fort Stockton. She loved playing baseball in the street and putting on talent shows and beauty pageants. She also loved her family vacations. Teri's life was not easy from the beginning. She was born with a club foot, which required multiple hospitalizations and surgeries. Teri's parents taught her at an early age to appreciate her blessings, knowing many children faced even greater challenges than she did. Teri learned to enjoy the time spent with her parents through her many doctor's visits and hospitalizations early in life. These experiences helped shape Teri's character, and her inner strength and determination was a gift from her mother.

After graduating from Fort Stockton High School in 1985, she attended the University of Texas in Austin, where she graduated in December 1989 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.

Upon graduation, Teri moved from Austin to Dallas to work in copier sales. Then, in 1991, she moved to Tyler to work as a pharmaceutical representative with Dupont/Merck. After many years in Pharmaceutical sales, she gravitated to a long-term career in healthcare-related sales and marketing with various companies in radiology, Home Health, and Hospice services.

Ten years ago, Teri combined her flair for creativity with her vast social network to create a tasty side hustle, making beautiful cookies and one-of-a-kind cakes. She enjoyed the process of designing her unique creations and spending time baking with her close friends. However, she found true joy in baking, knowing that the treats would often mark special occasions and help foster lifetime memories for those whom she knew and loved.

Teri loved people, and that was evident to everyone she met. She was very social and loved being a part of the Junior Women's Club of Fort Worth, The Women's Club, and the Junior League of Fort Worth. She held numerous positions throughout her time with these organizations.

Teri was an avid dog lover. She loved her three shelties and adopted nine rescues in total. Teri not only opened her home to dogs, but she graciously shared it with many people over the years.

Teri was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Dominguez, and her fur babies Bailey, Bentley, Princess, Little Bit, Oreo, Max, & Jaxson. She is survived by her mother, Paula Dominguez; fur babies Reggie, Russell, & Carly; brother Pete Dominguez (Mary); sister Patsy Dominguez (Felix); nieces Christina Moore (Braydon) and Abby Leyva (Amanda), Adriana Santana (Manny); nephew Landry Williams as well as six great nephews, five great nieces, and 1 great-great nephew.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Teri's honor to Saving Hope Animal Rescue, an organization that was near and dear to Teri.
