Tamela Maureen Harper

Tamela Maureen “Tammy” Harper, 52, passed away on November 13, 2022 in Arlington, Texas. She was born on October 14,1970 in Arlington, Texas to Thomas Lee Self Foster and Dorothy Jean (Jones) Foster.

A private graveside service was held for the family at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas on November 22, 2022.

Tammy was a lifelong Arlington resident. She excelled at school while attending Crow Elementary, Carter Junior High, and Arlington High School. She earned her bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Tammy loved people and dogs, especially her Genie. She was a giving person, never met a stranger, and was a friend to anyone she crossed paths with. She enjoyed gambling at Winstar and Choctaw, and shopping for clothes and shoes. Tammy lived life to the fullest and could fill a room with laughter. She was a beautiful soul inside and out.

She is survived by her parents, Thomas Lee Self Foster and Dorothy Jean (Jones) Foster; brother, Jay L. Foster; aunts, Patricia Pollard, Dr. Mary Jackson, Carolyn De Groot, Darlene Smithers and husband Bill, and Martha Farmer; niece, Kaylee Foster; and nephews, Cody Foster and Colton McQueen.

Tammy is preceded in death by her grandparents, Odell Jones, Sr. and Ruby Jones, Loraine Foster, JN Foster, and Millard Cody Self.

You could never overlook Tammy’s beautiful blue eyes and her amazing smile. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
