Susan Emily Oestreicher

May 1, 1952 — August 25, 2024

Arlington

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Emily Oestreicher, a loving mother, grammy, and friend who brought joy and light into the lives of all those she encountered. Susan was born on May 1, 1952, in Waltham, MA, and peacefully departed from this world on August 25, 2024, in Arlington, TX.

Susan's vibrant spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many. She dedicated herself to caring for her family and serving her community. Her love for themed parties and adventurous spirit led her on exciting trips around the world in more than 80 days, a lifetime of days where she created lasting memories with her husband Bob, who was not just her partner but also her best friend.

Always ready to lend a helping hand, Susan was known for her compassion and generosity. Susan had many titles: Wife, Mom, Sister, Friend, Co-Worker but her favorite title was Grammy. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and found immense joy in their presence. Her deep love for her family and friends was evident in every moment shared together. Susan loved to decorate her house for Christmas with each room (including the bathrooms) all while doing it listening to The Kenny and Dolly Christmas Album.

She treasured her time with her grandkids and loved being their Grammy, never failing to create "Cruise" Vacations, themed parties and events for her 3 grandkids, it was never a dull moment at Grammys. Disneyland is known as the happiest place on Earth, but to her grandkids Grammy's house was the happiest place on Earth. She made hanging out with Grammy like a trip to Disney and even took the whole family to Disney World so they would know that Disney and Grammy's were the happiest places on earth. It was never a Small World at Grammys.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Debbie Booher; her son, Danny Oestreicher, Sister Donna Bomengen, Brother Gordon Bomengen, Brother In Law Lenny Oestreicher, Son In Law Steve Booher, Daughter in Law Veronica Oestreicher, Grandchildren Zack Alvarado, Dylan Oestreicher and Emily Booher. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her

A casual Hawaiian (Susan loved a theme party) memorial service to celebrate Susan's life will be held at Wade Chapel on September 2, 2024, at 10:00 am. Come in your best Hawaiian attire

As we gather to celebrate Susan's life, let us remember her laughter, her kindness, and the love she shared so generously. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and her legacy of compassion and joy will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Susan Emily Oestreicher
