Sue Kay Reeder, 75, passed away in her home in Arlington on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
There will be Memorial service in honor of Sue Kay's life on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wade Family Funeral HOme, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Tx 76013.
Sue Kay was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Keith for over 26 years, a second marriage for them both. Sue Kay and Keith met in AA and conquered that challenge together. They both loved going to the horse races, and at one time owned a horse with their friends.
They married in 1984, the same year as Keith's youngest daughter, Lisa, and Sue Kay told Keith “we've got to get married before they do, so people wont say you came with woman you live with.”
Sue Kay was very competitive and loved playing games with family especially at Christmas. She loved a good bargain and even had a bumper sticker that said “If you think money can't buy happiness, you don't know where to shop.”
Sue Kay was by Keith's side until his death in 2009. Before his death, he wrote her a very sweet love letter thanking her for taking such good care of him.
After Keith's death, she began playing Bridge, and within a short time became a Life Master, and if you enjoy Bridge you know what an accomplishment that is.
She loved her daughter Julie, and adored her granddaughter Salina. She dearly loved the family that Keith brought into her life. She loved gift giving and taught us that each present should be in original wrapping and that was part of the fun of opening gifts from her.
We didn't expect to lose her so soon, but she knows that there are people here who love her and will miss her immensely. As Sue Kay would say “When everything refuses to go right, go left.”
