Sue Ann Kilpatrick

Sue Ann Kilpatrick, 77, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 in Arlington. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Center St., Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at the church. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Sue was born on July 2, 1939 in Handley, Texas to Leonard Burns and Venita Perrett Burns. A life-long resident of Arlington, she was an active member of First Baptist Church in Arlington. Sue graduated in 1957 from Arlington High School in the first graduating class at its present location. She married Tommy Kilpatrick in 1959. Sue was a PTA President and Home Room Mom. A longtime seamstress, she was known for her cooking and her friendship muffins. The family would like to thank the special friends and caregivers at Autumn Leaves for the love and compassion shown to our mother. Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Harold “Tommy” Kilpatrick on January 21, 2016. She is survived by her Daughter, Kimberly Kilpatrick Bena and husband, Gregg; granddaughter, Kylie Bena; and grandson, Logan Bena.
