Stephen McCall Nafziger passed away on April 7, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas surrounded by close family who loved him dearly.
Steve was born in Fort Worth on January 10, 1955 to Ferguson McCall Nafziger and Frances La Vada Goodman. He grew up and spent much of his life in Arlington where he began his own family and cultivated many lifelong friendships.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved Ginga. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Hays and Chelsea Clark, by his best friend and mother of his children, Jan Storey-Nafziger, by his grandchildren Keeley, Trinity and Tristan, his son-in-law Timothy, his sisters Becky and Pam, his many nieces and nephews, his friends and colleagues.
Steve was considered a master of all trades. Many people regarded him as their go-to electrician, mechanic, carpenter, counselor, and when needed, plumber. Steve was a gifted artist with a creative mind. He was a collector who took pleasure in restoring old things to their original beauty. Steve enjoyed fishing, enthusiastically followed Nascar, and loved his Cowboys. He was a man of few words, but one who always lent a hand to help anyone in need. Most importantly, Steve was “Dad” and “Poppy” – two roles which gave him immense joy.
