Stanley J. Stein

Stanley J. Stein, 91, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 in Arlington, Texas. Stanley was born on September 19, 1927 in Amarillo, Texas to William Melton and Lula May (Vanderburg) Stein. Stanley served in the U.S. Navy from December of 1944 until August of 1946 and in the U.S. Marines from 1952 to 1957. Stanley and the love of his life for 67 years, Barbara Jeanene Bowers, were married on December 24, 1952. He graduated from Texas A & M College with an accounting degree in 1957. Stanley was employed with Texaco and in 1969 his job took him to Queto, Ecuador and he returned to the states in 1976. He completed 18 years with Texaco and then was hired by Southern Royalty Oil Company where he worked until his retirement. Stanley was an active member of Shady Grove Church since 1989. Stanley and Barbara raised two children, Debra Renee' Stein and David Melton Stein. Stanley was considered a very honorable man and will be greatly missed by all of his friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, David in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Barbara and daughter, Debra. Wade Family Funeral Home 817-274-9233
