Sigrid Christine Guerue

Christine Guerue, 70, of Arlington, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023 after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer.

Chris was born to Karl and Irmgard Schmidt in Germany on October 13, 1952. She moved to the United States with her parents at the age of 2 and was raised and grew up in the Midwest. She moved to California where she met and married her husband, Milton Guerue, on May 4, 1974. Together they have 3 daughters, Stacy, Stefanie and Carrie. They moved to Arlington, Texas in 1988 where they raised their 3 daughters and where they currently lived.

Chris loved to read and had shelves and shelves of books to prove it. She also loved purses and all things coffee. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her 4 grandkids, Ruby, Cash, Sean and Ryder, who loved her dearly. Her favorite thing to do was to get together as a family for holidays, birthdays or just because. She enjoyed swimming, just talking and hanging out, and delicious family meals together.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Irmgard, and her son in law, Bryan Mead. She is survived by her husband, Milt; daughter Stacy Mead and grandson Sean; daughter Stefanie Collins, son in law Forrest and grandsons Cash and Ryder; and daughter Carrie Oakes, son in law John and granddaughter, Ruby.

We will forever cherish our memories and our time with you, although it wasn’t long enough. You made our lives happy and full and you will forever be in our hearts. Until we meet again, we love you mom!
