Shirley Jo Mcclendon

Shirley Jo McClendon, 74, passed away on January 21, 2021 in Granbury, Texas. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, prior to the service at the funeral home. Shirley was born on July 21, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jewell T. Davis and Clarice Boggs Davis. She raised her family in Garland and moved to Rowlett before settling in Granbury. Shirley worked for John Deer in her early years before becoming a mother of two. When her children were older, she started her own business, McClendon Interiors where she enjoyed painting and remodeling. Shirley retired in 2018 and was enjoying life. Shirley loved to play softball and was on softball leagues from the earlier 80's until 2003. She also had a love for golf, where every year she would go to the TWAGA tournaments that would always fall on Mother's Day. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Jewel; mother, Clarice; brother, Larry; and partner, Barbara. Survivors: Son, Kelly and wife, Patty; daughter, Shannon and husband, Kyle; Tracey and husband, Doug; Kelly and husband, Patrick; sister, Darla Davis Jones; granddaughters, Kyndall and Kiersten, Christina and husband, Taylor, Tarah and Shannon.
