Shirley Baker

It is with great sadness that we announce that our loving mother, Shirley Jean Baker passed away on Thursday, February 13th, 2025. She was surrounded by her children and beloved family when she gained her angel wings and left to meet her Heavenly Father and our father who passed previously. She was 85 years old and lived life to the fullest. Born Shirley Jean Martin in Marfa, TX to Frederick Martin Sr. and Christine Martin Hallmark on October 16th, 1939 and married on March 9th, 1961 to Earl Dean Baker Jr. the love of her life. Our parents, Earl and Shirley Baker shared 47 wonderful years of marriage before our father passed in 2007. 

She is survived by two sons and a daughter: Jeff Baker of Arlington, TX, spouse Lisa Baker, Scott Baker of Keller, TX, spouse Louise Baker, Kelly Istre of Princeton, TX, spouse Richard Istre, as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Shirley requested to not have a service, and the family will honor those wishes. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in her name.
