Sheree Lynn Runyan

Sheree Lynn Bales Runyan, 68 passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in Fort Worth. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX.

Sheree Lynn Bales Runyan was born December 28, 1954 to Perry and Edwina Bales in Washington DC. From a young age she and her family moved around many times. Lynn followed in her father’s footsteps and attended Central Missouri State University. While attending school she met the love of her life, James Runyan. Lynn received her degree in Public Relations. Soon after graduation in May of 1977, they were married that June and had their eldest daughter Susan in May of 1978. After a short stint in England they moved back to the states and were headed to Nebraska. Their second daughter, Sarah was born in late 1983.

Lynn was a baseball and football fan. You could find her most Sundays watching the Cowboys or cheering on her Rangers. No matter how the season was going, she would continue to watch. Lynn had a love of knowledge. In 2002 Lynn received her 2nd degree this time in Accounting. But it was her trivia knowledge she cherished the most. Rumor has it she once was banned from playing Peoples Magazine Trivial Pursuit edition. Lynn had a wonderful sense of humor. Nothing made her laugh more than an episode of Friends or laughing with her girls at their father’s expense. Lynn fought hard for her life till the very last day.

Lynn was preceded in death by her beloved parents Edwina and Perry Bales. She is survived by her husband James Runyan; daughters Susan & Sarah; sisters Jennifer Bales and Debbie Bales Heath; brother-in-law Larry Heath; brother Eddie Bales and sister-in-law Leslie Bales.
