Sharon Denise Stanfield

Sharon “Shoney” Denise Wingate Stanfield, born July 26,1957 in Beaumont, TX peacefully passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, TX. She was 66.

Known by most as Shoney, Sharon graduated from Charlton Pollard High School (Beaumont, TX) in 1975, and attended Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. She dedicated over 35 years in the financial industry before retiring in 2020. Shoney enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing and crabbing, but above all, spending time with her family brought her the most joy.

Sharon is preceded in death by her Father, Benjamin Wingate, her Mother, Nettie Frances (Pinkney) Wingate, Father In Law Charles Stanfield Sr., Mother In Law Lilly Mae (Brown) Stanfield, and her loving Husband of 43 years, Sammy Earl Stanfield.

Shoney is survived by her daughter Jamillah Lockhart (Kari), her son Benjamin Stanfield (Sylvia), 5 grandchildren; Jedrek Lockhart, Destiny Stanfield, Kalista Lockhart, Camila Stanfield, Kaiden Stanfield. One Brother; Joseph Wingate (Kathy), Three Sisters; Dyanne McCowan, Gretchen Wingate, Ursuca Washington (Henry). Brother in Laws; Bobby Brown (Sandra), Charles Stanfield, Jr. (Annette), Ronald Stanfield (Annette), Carter Stanfield. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Cousins, and countless friends.

The Memorial of Life service for Shoney will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at 2:00pm at Wade Family Funeral Home and Crematory. All gifts of love and flowers can be sent to Wade Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX 76013.
