Sharon “Sherry” Ann Critz went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday January 18th, 2021 at the age of 71.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 12 pm at Wade Family Funeral Home with Dr. Carroll Marr officiating. A graveside will follow the service at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery with Reverend Warren Pearson officiating.
Sherry was born in Rome N.Y. on May 24, 1949 to Harry and Bertha Dekin.
She graduated from Rome Free Academy. After moving to Texas, she met and married the love of her life Joseph “Joe” Critz. She worked at the Tarrant County Courthouse for many years and then fulfilled her dreams of becoming a nurse. She worked for John Peter Smith Hospital until her retirement. Sherry was an active member of Southcliff Baptist Church in Fort Worth. She loved working with the children in the nursery and members of the church teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) classes as well as vacation bible school. Her church family meant the world to her.
Sherry is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Critz; parents, Bertha and Burton Howard.
She is survived by her son, Roger Critz and partner Brenda Kinzler; grandson, Ryder Critz; brother, George Dekin and wife Gay; sisters, Sally Rector and husband Skip, Joyce Lee and husband Steven; brother, Pete Howard and wife Tammi; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, church family and friends.
