Scott Wetsel

Scott Barton Wetsel, born November 8, 1968, in Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 56.

Scott grew up in Arlington, where he graduated from Arlington High School and began forging lifelong connections with those around him. With a natural charm and a passion for taking care of people, Scott dedicated 25 years to the restaurant industry, working his way up to management. His personable and outgoing nature allowed him to build strong relationships, both in his career and personal life.

An avid golfer, Scott shared his love of the game with his father, Clay, and together they enjoyed following the PGA Tour. Whether on the green or off, Scott’s enthusiasm for life was evident in the way he connected with others and the joy he brought to those who knew him.

Scott’s current home was in Dallas, where his warm personality and kind heart left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Scott is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Becky Wetsel. He is survived by his father, Clay Wetsel; his brother, Chris Wetsel, and wife Kimberly; his cherished nephew, Carson, and niece, Karaleigh.

A remembrance gathering to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home.

Scott’s family invites those who knew and loved him to join them in honoring his life and the joy he brought to so many.
