Sara-Jane Folsom was born on May 19th, 1988 and passed away quickly after learning she had Stage 4 melanoma on October 26th, 2024. She was 36 years old.
Sara-Jane was born in Austin, Texas to Robert Lin Folsom and Janie Louise Kennemur Folsom. She has two brothers, Bobby and Michael Folsom. Sara-Jane has 8 Aunts and Uncles along with 7 cousins. Her extended family is extensive. Her closest friend, Kristin Bancroft lives in Idaho.
She lived in Arizona, Missouri and Texas three different times. The third time she received an ‘Associate of Arts’ Degree from Tarrant Count College. She was an avid Artist: sketching, on-line pictures and painting, Diamond Art, animation, crocheting, clay sculpturing, writing and playing “Dungeons & Dragons” on-line with her very good friends in England.
Sara-Jane was beautiful, smart, kind and accepting of anyone. She would fiercely defend other’s rights and was empathetic towards all living things.
Over her life, Sara-Jane fostered hundreds of kittens, with most being newly born bottle baby kittens. She took great pride in saving those kittens, getting them healthy and seeing them end up being an important part of someone’s family for many years. It was a special gift she had.
Her on-line presence was extensive, with close to 20,000 followers on many on-line sites, including Facebook, Instagram, X(Twitter) and other Artist and creative sites and blogs. News of her passing has brought responses from all over the world.
A Memorial for Sara-Jane will be held on November 16th, 2024, at 10am at St. Barnabus United Methodist Church, 5011 W. Pleasant Ridge Road in Arlington, Texas 76016.
