Sandra Ann McElreath

Sandra McElreath, age 76, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024.

 Sandra shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, H.D. McElreath. Together, they enjoyed countless adventures, including a shared passion for traveling. She loved exploring new places and creating memories with her family.

 Sandra was a proud mother to her daughter, Jana Shahidi, and a cherished grandmother to her grandsons, Tyler and Tanner. She took great joy in her role as a grandmother, always ready with a warm smile and a listening ear.

 Sandra was a beloved librarian assistant in the Arlington Independent School District. She cherished her colleagues and friends she cultivated at Young Junior High and Arlington High School. 

 Sandra loved going on cruises and taking annual trips to Estes Park, Colorado. She could occasionally be found trying her luck at a slot machine. She loved her family and friends deeply and had a unique way of showing grace, acceptance, and peace to those around her. She will be greatly missed and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

 Sandra is survived by her husband, H D; her daughter, Jana and son in law, Shawn; her grandsons, Tyler and his fiancé Ashley, and Tanner and his wife, Jordan; her sister and brother in law, Sherry and Jerry Mitchell; her stepsister, Sara; and many friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.

 A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at Wade Funeral Home on Saturday, November 16, where family and friends can come together to honor her legacy and share their fond memories.
