ARLINGTON -- Sandra Jean Mickelson Sinor, 71, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, in Arlington.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Shepherd of Life Lutheran Church, 715 E. Lamar Blvd., Arlington, 76011. Graveside Ssrvice: 3 p.m. Wednesday in St. Olaf Cemetery, on the grounds of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, known as The Old Rock Church, Cranfills Gap. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Jean was born April 17, 1943, in Meridian to Floyd and Virgie Mickelson. She moved to Arlington in the sixth grade. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1961, where she was a Colt cheerleader. Jean was voted sweetheart of the Key Club, was a member of the choir and drama club, and named "October Girl" by the Arlington Citizen Journal while in high school.
She retired from Bell Helicopter Textron and spent her retirement years enjoying her family, especially her granddaughter, Sydney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Virgie Mickelson.
Survivors: Daughter, Sandy Sinor of Studio City, Calif.; Debra Grant of Studio City, Calif.; son, Wade Sinor and wife, Julie, of Coppell; granddaugther Sydney; brother, Larry Mickelson and wife, Yvonne; sister, Dana Collins and husband, Gary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
