Ruby Nell Reed

ARLINGTON -- Ruby Nell Reed, 87, received her wings and flew to her heavenly home Friday, March 20, 2015. Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with the Rev. Ken Baldwin officiating. Interment: 4 p.m. in Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Ruby was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Sulphur Springs to J.O. Wilson and Ollie Mills Wilson. She resided in Dallas for many years, in Gilmer for eight years and moved to Arlington in 2006. She was a lifelong Baptist. Ruby retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She enjoyed reading the Bible and was an avid Cowboys fan. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Durand H. Huggins and Bill Reed. Survivors: Son, John Hollis Huggins and wife, Kay; sisters, Mary Baldwin and Mildred Howard; grandchildren, Amy Goppert and husband, Mike, John Karr Huggins and wife, Misty, and Kathryn Dumond and husband, James; and six great-grandchildren.
