Roy Norman Chitty II, 70, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 in Arlington, Texas.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Graveside Service: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.
Roy was born on August 9, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to Roy Norman Chitty Sr. and Gay Mohon Chitty. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He loved America and appreciated all of those who served. Roy was very conservative and stood up for what he believed in. He believed in respect for the country.
Roy loved his family and was very dedicated to them. He worked hard to provide for his family and sacrificed what he could for them. He would do anything and everything he could for his family. He was very proud of his sons and daughters-in-love. He treated his daughters-in-love like he would his own daughters. He dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to spoil them.
Roy had a knack for talking with family and friends. He had a great insight and could sense when they were going through hard times. He shared his wisdom and encouragement and wanted them to know he was always there for them. Roy never met a stranger. He went out of his way to make people feel welcome. Everyone was family to him; he knew how to build relationships. Roy was a selfless person and always wanted to help others.
Roy loved candy corn and peanuts. He had a love for gag gifts on birthdays and holidays. He was a jokester that loved to give people a hard time. He also loved watching football.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and Niece Alana Foster and Nephew Luke Neese.
Survivors: Wife, Connie Naomi Neese Chitty; sons, Ethan Chitty and wife, Katie Rose, and Ryan Chitty and wife, Lauralee; grandchildren, Logan, Zoey, Kaylen, Declan, Harper and Sawyer; and brother, Michael Chitty and wife, Carol.
