Roy Don Holcomb, age 85 of Arlington, Texas, passed away at home after a long battle with dementia on September 12, 2021, surrounded by family. Roy was born in Emhouse, Texas, where he met his wife, Christine, and was married for 66 years. Roy was a loving Husband, Dad, and Big Daddy. He was a man of faith and character who cherished his family above all else. He was a long-time member of Lake Church. He would do anything for anyone and want nothing in return. He worked at the General Motors Assembly Plant for 43 years. He is survived by his wife, Christine Wilson- Holcomb, by one sister, Wilma McCann and one sister-in-law, Pat Holcomb, two daughters and son-in-laws, Bruce and Tina Loflin of Pasco, Washington, and Gary and Donna Sodd of Pantego, Texas. He has four grandchildren, Brande Loflin, Cassey Freeman and spouse, Craig, Waylon Sodd and spouse, Carolyn, and Lindsey Elsner and spouse, Austin. He has nine great- grandchildren, Jacey, Chayse, Avery, Brady, Brooklyn, Ashlyn, Beckett, Weston, and Kaitlyn. A graveside service will be held on Monday September, 20 at 12 PM at Emerald Hills Cemetery, Kennedale, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the National MS Society and the Alzheimer's Association.
