ARLINGTON -- Rose Mary Murphy Erwin, 89, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, in Arlington.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Restland Cemetery, 9220 Restland Road, Dallas, with Father Tim Gollob officiating.
Rose was born July 21, 1922, in Kimberly, Wis., to Raymond Behling and Theresa Luniak Behling. She graduated from Kimberly High School. Rose served her country during World War II as a U.S. Navy chief petty officer in the WAVES. She resided in Arlington. She was a former employee of Texas Instruments for 12 years and was a buyer and seller at The Antique Market Place for many years.
Rose was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Wade C. Murphy, in 1971; and her second husband, Lloyd R. Erwin, in 1992.
Survivors: Daughters, Cheryl Strickland and husband, Jerry, of Dallas and Patricia Hajek and husband, Bill, of Bullard; stepsons, Michael Erwin and wife, Judy, of Grand Prairie and Lloyd H. Erwin and wife, Charlene, of Arlington; stepdaughter, Nora Smith and husband, John, of Arlington; three brothers; one sister; and grandchildren, Jessica and Michelle Erwin, Bill Erwin and Anna Smith.
